The Dares of Eternity resembles fan favorite 6-player activities like The Menagerie from the Season of Opulence or the Sundial from Season of the Dawn. Xur is the go-to NPC, where players can get bounties that can only be completed in the activity. In addition, exclusive emotes, items, universal ornaments, and shaders can be earned through completing various triumphs in the 30th Anniversary triumph tab. Xur's treasure Hoard also houses the Starhorse NPC, which sells players Dare bounties with a high XP payout upon completion, but they can only be bought using 'Strange Coins.' Strange Coins are earned upon completion of the Dares of Eternity activity and earned by killing special mini-bosses within the activity. Players will also earn treasure keys using the same methods for earning Strange Coins; these keys can be used to open the treasure chests at Xur's treasure hoard, which will earn players classic Halo -themed weapons for Destiny
As a Hunter main, it’s been heartbreaking seeing this whole meta shift unfold. I’ve spent dozens of Masterwork materials and hundreds of hours making Hunter builds that excel in PvE and PvP . The worst part is that I’m in a small minority of players that can afford to make such builds. I own every Combat Style mod and have over 300 pieces of high-stat armor in my Vault. I can farm Nightfalls at any time to get Ascendant Shards. Very, very few players can say the same. Yet even a player like myself seriously struggles to make Hunters stand out from their Warlock and Titan contemporaries. I can’t imagine how casual players get by .

Hunters are supposed to be Destiny’s take on space cowboys and bounty hunters, and the first Destiny 2 Guide reflected this well. Hunters had mobile Supers, a mix of ranged and utility melee abilities, and the Nightstalker’s Shadowshot Super doubled as excellent crowd control and Super regeneration for your team. There are three different bosses players may fight at the end of each activity; a Hive boss, a Cabal boss, or a Vex boss. Power weapons like Sleeper Simulant that can take advantage of the mods on Destiny 2's Wayfinder Artifact will do the most damage on bosses in his phase.
